Typical Street Fighter
Appealing to the finer aspects in us, President Inept is going to cut back on Social Security checks instead of the myriad of things like $250.00 toilet seats. That'll show'em

Vacation is totally over
I saw a recent post by my son negating "Trickle Down" economics. This issue demands discussion. John Maynard Keynes advanced the theory that a nations economy could be controlled by increasing the availability of money - in other words use the governments printing presses to allow the government to spend it's way out of a crises.
This is the guts of a controlled economy. A controlled economy removes the profit incentive and risk is not allowed to seek reward. This has never worked in anything but the short run. The usual response is a reference to the "Great Depression" Most economists view the controlled economy as prolonging the depression and WWII forcing an end to it. Any controlled economy that has survived has survived by moving towards a free market.
Next: Adam Smith!

Where am I going?
It would be entirely too easy to spend all of my time attacking President Inept, However that would be self defeating and actually boring.
Our society has other problems that I want to discuss.
Our society has other problems that I want to discuss.
- As a retired college teacher I am appalled at the lack of preparation that I saw among incoming freshman.
- The culture of alcohol and drugs has become too prevalent
- Hand in hand with that what passes for popular culture is a growing problem
- Ethics! lack of ethics in high places has all but destroyed our faith in the American free market system
- And of course an occasional mention of President Inept's latest faux pas.
- The inroads against our Judeo-Christian culture are in may ways the root causes of most of these problems.
Ok my friends is there anything else that I should be discussing?
I'll also be listing some websites that you might not know about and bear watching.
